The Great Miller Camp Meeting at Newark
NEWARK, Sunday.
The regular business of this affair broke up yesterday. The tents
were all struck, and the camp ground abandoned. There was nothing of the
least importance transpired to send you an account of. There was a large
crowd of persons out here from New York, some to hear, but the majority to
see Father Miller. He preached on the steps of the Court House in
the afternoon, to a large crowd of country people; but his remarks were
almost precisely similar to what I have already reported. He did not reply
to Dr. Brownlee; he has postponed that until he reaches New Yrok.
The final farewell of the Millerites and the people of Newark takes
place to-morrow forenoon. I will be present and send you an account of it.

intend to stay in New York for a month, and father Miller proposes to
preach in Wall street from the steps of the Custom House, if Mr. Curtis
will consent. He thinks that the radiating point of corruption.
The end of the world is to come some time in 1843; and may come on
the 1st of January, he will stay in New York a month, or until the 1st of
January, as he believes that if he purifies New York, he can purify the
rest of creation. So look out for him. He is transmitted to your care, by
